ABSTRACT
The bam of BingDing wharf on QinHuangDao Port is the largest cylindric silo of concrete construction for bulk grain in Asia. It consists of 48 main silos and 30 star ones which are tangent to main silos. The diameter of the main silos is 8m and the height is 39m. Its operating control equitment is imported from Japan. The bam can store grain of 63500t. Capacity of loading and unloading is 600 t/h. It is the most fully equipped and the top automation of the bulk grain bam in China, shown as Fig. 1.
