ABSTRACT
Abstract This paper deals with the polymer concrete composites developed in China among which polymer cement concrete (PCC) has gotten faster development. Application of polymer impregnated concrete (PIC) declined in China because of complicated technology and high cost. Also polymer resin concrete (PC) has been used in less amount because its high cost. Therefor, research and application of polymer concrete are focused on PCC. The performance, structure and application of PCC are described. The high strength cement based composites are discussed. This paper reviews the situation of research and development of polymer concrete in China based on domestic literature recently.
