ABSTRACT

Abstract This paper reports on some of the work done in the development of a material that can be used for quantitative repair of concrete structures. Typical repair systems are reviewed highlighting advantages and limitations. Further discussion covers strength results of the repair mortar. The beneficial effects of applying the repair mortar to typical I m long RC beams, are discussed. This includes improvements obtained in cracking behaviour and ultimate loads as well as stiffness and ductility. The results obtained demonstrate the potential of the high strength mortar for repair applications. Keywords: Repair, concrete structures, high strength mortar, polymers.
