ABSTRACT
Abstract TherearethreemaintypesofjointingsystemsusedcommerciallyintheUKfor constructionofprecastconcretebeamandcolumnframes.Theseinvolvetheuseof corbels,cast-insteelbillets,orsleeve-boltedcleats.Thispaperdescribesaseriesoftests onbeamandstubcolumnframesassembledusingsleeve-boltedcleats.Thisfull-scaletest programmeservedmultiplepurposes.Itprovidedproofloadingtestsforarevisedand moreeconomicallyassembledreinforcementdetailwithintheendsoftheprecastbeams, andalsoprovidedmoment-rotationdataforproducingamoreaccurate,structurally economicframedesign.
