ABSTRACT
The superstructure of the Tower resists lateral loads with a central reinforced concrete shear wall core interconnected with composite mega-columns through composite outrigger trusses at three (3) two-story levels. Gravity loads are resisted by composite floor members which frame to structural steel mega-columns and to the central core and composite megacolumns. The foundation system for the Tower consists of open steel pipe piles capped by a reinforced concrete mat. A deep slurry wall system forms the temporary retention as well as the permanent foundation system around the site.
