ABSTRACT
Abstract Deformation measurement on concrete under temperature changes gives important information of the volume changes due to hydration. For normal concrete (high w/c) this behaviour is represented by two separate lines - one for the expansion phase and one for the contraction phase. Unfortunately this is not the case for high performance concrete which have a significant simultaneous shrinkage due to self-desiccation even at early ages.
