ABSTRACT
In today's world, many companies have a configuration management database, or are in the process of developing such a database, or possibly the company is working strictly with a manual configuration management system. Many databases are available in the private sector offered by companies who have developed the necessary software for such a database, as shown in Appendix A5. What we will discuss in this chapter are some of the key items that you should look for when considering and developing a configuration management database for your company.
