ABSTRACT

M oths, butterflies, and skippers have always been the most popular group of insects among ama-teur collectors. The brilliant colors of many of the species make them unusually attractive to display. Since many species are of economic importance and a knowledge of them is a practical necessity, they have beenstudied intensely. Rearing from egg to adult is not only a fascinating pasttime for many, it is also likely to provide data that will make an original contribution to the knowledge of the group.
