ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with several population models aimed at solving multiple optima detection problems.
In order to identify several optimum points, we have to endow an evolutionary algorithm with an additional mechanism that is intended to favor the appearance and maintenance of subpopulations related to the various optimum points.
