ABSTRACT
Analyzing briefly the history of digital methods, we can note that for wide ap plication and rapid development, digital signal processing is much obliged to the following four basic statutes that are, respectively, related to the theory of trigono metrical series, spectrum boundedness, sampling theorem, and fast transforms. We briefly examine these statutes, because a good understanding of these methods of the fast transforms in digital signal processing is important.
