ABSTRACT

Mobile robots constitute an interesting development in the need for automating diverse operations in an equally wide variety of industrial production sites. Typical applications include automated storing and retrieving of goods in large storage areas, automated grocery stores, security teleoperated mobile robots, etc. We also include here, as mobile robots, three non-typical examples: The Prismatic Prismatic Revolute (PPR) mobile robot, provided with a flexible appendage, the hovercraft system and the walking toy.
