Heat transfer for a flowing fluid is usually estimated with an equation based on the fluid's physical properties raised to various fractional powers. Solving the equation can be a tedious affair. This article simplifies the calculation by combining the physical property terms into a single factor C. This factor is reported for various liquids and gases under various flowing conditions.
