ABSTRACT
The investment casting process allows the casting engineer to make full use of enormous capability and flexibility inherent in the process. Parts produced by this process are truly functional, cost effective, and aesthetically pleasing. A wide range of parts from a few grams to more than 1000 kg can be competitively produced with this process. A detailed discussion of many of the advantages of investment casting process is provided in Ref. 1. Some of these advantages are:
