Introducing Uncertainty of Aquifer Parameters into an Optimization Model

I. INTRODUCTION Typically, some of the parameters of conceptual hydrologic models are calibrated using limited hydrologic information. The purpose of this chapter is to describe how uncertain knowledge of aquifer parameters can be incorporated into an optimization program. The optimization pro­ gram used as the basis for this paper has been described in detail elsewhere [1].
