ABSTRACT

The coming decades will undoubtedly see increased industrialization. As in the developed nations, the production of industrial by-products and wastes will increase in the less industrialized countries. Based on the experience of the past few decades, increased emphasis will be placed on preventing and limiting environmental pollution. Having encountered the effects of environmental pollution earlier, the developed countries have been in the forefront in establishing pollution control laws and regulations covering proposed facilities, existing facilities, and decommissioned facilities [1].
