ABSTRACT
A bstract. Using a method of compact perturbation, we first prove the lak of uniform
stabilization of the SCOLE model in the case of a clamped beam for a class of boundary
feedbacks. Next we establish the uniform stabilization in the case of a hinged beam by
means of an energy multiplier method.
