ABSTRACT
Epidemiology is the science that describes the progress of a disease as it becomes epidemic. Depending on the rate of disease progress, diseases are broadly classified as simple interest and compound interest diseases. Several models have been developed to describe the progression of these two kinds of diseases. The area under disease progress curve (AUDPC) provides a valid statistical description of disease progress data.
