ABSTRACT
LACK of training in any profession or technical field is a major obsta cle to achievement. Paradoxically, the opportunities for training in quality control in themselves have become an obstacle. The unbridled growth of educational offerings has resulted in a strange combination of opportunity and frustration. Each year, the circle of confusion about training has widened.
