ABSTRACT

Terrestrial plants; medium to large. Rhizome erect or creeping, sometimes climbing high into trees; scaly, sometimes hairy. Stipe well developed, scaly or not hairy or not grooved, brown at base, pale above, glossy. Fronds dimor­ phic or isomorphic, tufted or remote. Rachis grooved, pale, glossy, scaly or not hairy or not entirely winged or partially winged. Lamina pinnate, imparipinnate, pinnae sessile or adnate, entire to serrulate; fertile pinnae more contracted than sterile in some species; veins indistinct, branching or not forming areoles. Sori short to narrow, spreading along costae.
