ABSTRACT
Simulation provides valuable benefit to a product development project, tarring with the initial requirements definition phase and continuing through support for a mature fielded product. By making use of simulation technique at every rage of the process where they are appropriate, overall product quality can be enhanced while development cycle rime and ri ks are reduced. In the remainder of thi chapter, I will di cu s the ways simulation can be used in each of the development phase shown in Figure 8.1 to enhance product quality, shorten the development cycle, and reduce project risk.
