Already today we can predict that our century will one day go down in history as the ªage of electronicsº. Space exploration would have been impossible without the building blocks of electronic equipment, and the same may be said of the solution to the most pressing problem of world economicshow to reduce to a tolerable level the explosion in the price of energy.
