ABSTRACT
The Central Electricity Generating Board have five separate scenarios in their Sizewell ‘Statement of Case’.26 These are not forecasts or projections in the same sense as those produced by the Department, and they were designed to illustrate the effects of widely different views of the future on the economic installation rates. Whilst the CEGB scenarios provide a different approach to energy planning they give no indication of the likelihood of the alternative futures. The most up-to-date guidance on this comes from the Departmental projections.
