ABSTRACT

We briefly discuss the relation between peak C and the + 1st satellite peak. We regard peak C not as a + lst satellite peak, but as an overlapped one. This is because the measured intensity o f400-700 cps is larger than the calculated intensity of the single+1st satellite peak. The calculated value is expected to be less than 1 0 0 cps from the observed intensity data of 0 -th and +2 nd spots using kinematical theory. Thus, neglecting the overlapped satellite peak on peak C, peak C, as well as peaks A and B, is regarded not to be a satellite peak, but one from some quaternary layer. The identification of these peaks is covered in detail in the next section.
