ABSTRACT

Earthworm activity and behavior and earthworm-originated structures, on one hand, and physical and biological soil properties and soil structure, on the other, result from non-independent interactions. In this chapter, ex amples of such interactions are given and used to show how the observation of interactions avoids the “chicken and egg” dispute; additionally, some tech nical measures are used to address the question of the spatial stability of the interactions.
