ABSTRACT

Hybrid anaerobic treatment of particulated poultry wastes elminates the problems commonly associated with conventional anaerobic treatment systems such as the preparation of a slurry prior to fermentation and

the handling and disposal of post treatment effluent. It is also simple in construction and easy to operate. The mathematical model developed can not only predict the performance of the system but also be used to

outline the design and operational criteria for the optimal performance of the system.
