ABSTRACT

The constitutive models of bond mechanics are traditionally grouped into two main kinds: micro models and macro models. On the micro approach, we shall apply the local bond-slip relation to analyze RC structures. On the macroscopic approach, we analyze bond behavior via member response on the global scale. Here the difference is the size of the control volume on which the bond behavior is defined (Chapter 1). The modeling of bonds can be tackled at different levels, as shown in Figure 11.1.
