ABSTRACT

Micromagnetic ndt-techniques, summarized under the keyword 3 M A (Micromagne­ tic-, Multiparameter-, Microstructure-and Stress-Analysis) can be applied to ma­ gnetizable materials. The techniques are sensitive for the characterization of microstructure-and stress-material states (residual-and load induced stresses). Because the sensitivity against both influence parameters is in the same range the separation of the influences in the measuring quantities is a basical inspection task. For the separation the method of multiparameter regression is applied, more than one of the measuring quantities is used for the approach. The regression approach asks for a well defined set of calibration specimen which covers the variation of the microstructure of the material which is under inspection. The influence of stress then is measured under defined loads and is introduced in the regression algorithm.
