ABSTRACT
Abstract This paper describes the Japanese state of development of covermeters for measuring the location and cover thickness of a reinforcing-bar (re-bar) embedded in concrete and reviews the application of the covermeters in testing during concrete construction. It also shows the studies on improving the measuring method using the electroma gnetic induction method.
