ABSTRACT
A technical too l which is required to produce the many r andom
numbers needed i n pract ical applications is a r andom number
generator, i.e. a computer a lgor i thm which produces sequences of
so-called pseudo-random numbers. These are numbers which are dis-
tributed so that they fol low a given dis t r ibut ion to a sufficient degree
of accuracy.
