ABSTRACT

In this work we present the development of an optical waveguide-based multianalyte immulloscnsor. The immunosensor is based on a sandwich assay format, which means that the antigen is sandwiched between two antibodies. The Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)/anti-BSA system is used as a model assay for proof of principle. The development of the chip is presented under three headings: antibody immobilisation, patterning protocol and optical system.
