ABSTRACT

The flow rate strongly affects the resolution in any chromatographic experiment on macroporous gels. The effect of flow rate on separation resolution has been investigated on different modes of continuous-bed columns; the resolution is almost identical at low and high flow rates to other nonporous matrices. Similar separation patterns of snake venom by UNO S are obtained at flow rates from 0.5 (78 em/h) to 9.0 mL/min (1404 em/h) (Fig. 10).
