ABSTRACT
Reliability parameter calculation assumes the product is in the useful life period of the bathtub curve. During this period, the failure rate is constant and the exponential distribution is used for calculations. In standards and handbooks where failure rates and MTBF values are listed, the same assumption is made and the exponential distribution is used.
