ABSTRACT
A major decision in identification is how to parameterize the characteristics and properties of a system using a model of a suitable structure. Linear models usually provide a good starting point in the structure selection of the identification procedure. In general, linear structures are simpler than the non-linear ones and analytical solutions may be found. In this chapter, linear structures and parameter estimation in such structures are considered.
