ABSTRACT
Because it becomes increasingly necessary to be able to give a precise prediction of time-dependent behaviour in all circumstances it becomes necessary to follow the appropriate physical theory (statistical mechan ics), deformation kinetics, that applies for all materials and explains the temperature dependence and all other aspects of the essential non linear behaviour of materials.
