ABSTRACT
It is well known that creep in timber structures depends on the mois ture content level. It is also well known from laboratory tests as well as field tests that creep in wood is strongly affected by variation in mois ture content. Therefore, predictions of creep in timber structures in practice must be based on knowledge of the actual moisture content and its variation in the material.
