ABSTRACT
Soon after their application to the static analysis of a variety of bridge structures, the semianalytical finite strip method and the spline finite strip method extended to the analysis of vibration and stability. This chapter describes the basic procedures for vibration and stability finite strip analyses. Explicit expressions for the mass matrices of some typical finite strips are also given. This is followed by numerical examples.
