ABSTRACT

Throughout the previous chapters and discussions there has been an ongoing thread of thought regarding the way in which waterjets cut through material. This has been tied in with a significant amount of evidence which has been presented to validate the various concepts which have been proposed to explain how waterjets, and the abrasives and other additives which they might include, work. However, many of the rules which have been suggested in earlier chapters for improving the performance of high pressure waterjets have come about as a result of experimental studies and the rules given are thus empirical.
