AutoCAD’s movable local coordinate system — the User Coordinate System — is explored extensively in this chapter. The UCS is one of AutoCAD’s most important 3D features because it allows you to use the same techniques in making 3D models that you have always used in making 2D drawings. The UCS makes working in 3D practical.
