Figure 4 is a plot o f oxygen index data comparing CFR-2 to BFR-2 in ABS with 6.1% antimony oxide added as a synergist. When 16.9% CFR-2 (11% Cl) is used, the oxygen index is 27.25, and the material is UL-94 V-0 at 3.2 mm. When 15.7% BFR-2 is used, the oxygen index is 25.25, and the material is NC (HB) in the UL-94 test. The highest oxygen index (29.75) is obtained when there is a 1:1 mixture of Cl and Br.
