FR-talc filled formulations are shown in Table 8. In this case, a loading level of 14% CFR (9.1 Cl) and 4% DBDPO gave a UL-94 V-0 at 3.2 mm and a V-l at 1.6 mm (Formulation #1). When using DBDPO along at the same total halogen level (12.4%) you get a material that bum (NC), (Formulation #2). Even increasing the halogen level from 12.4 to 13.3%, you only achieve a V-l, a 3.2 mm using DBDPO. Table 8. FR-Talc Filled Polypropylene Formulation
