ABSTRACT

A Caucasian baby boy born at 39 weeks of gestation by spontaneous vaginal delivery to a healthy 28-year-old G1P1A0 woman is transferred to your neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at 36 hours of age for abdominal distention and failure to pass meconium. The pregnancy was uncomplicated. Ultrasound exams performed at 20 and 34 weeks of gestation were unremarkable.
