ABSTRACT

You are seeing in your clinic a 4-month-old Caucasian boy with the left facial mass shown in Figure 5.1. The baby was born by spontaneous vaginal delivery at term and has no past medical history. The parents first noticed the mass at about 2 months of age and it now seems a bit more prominent to them. It does not appear to bother the baby and his eye movements have been normal, as far as they can tell. Their main concern is whether this mass could be a tumor.
