ABSTRACT
A 16-year-old, previously healthy boy is brought to the emergency department by his mother approximately 6 hours after being assaulted by several individuals. He was repeatedly punched and kicked in the abdomen and back. He complains of right-sided abdominal and flank pain and bloody urine. The pain has gradually increased in severity and his urine has become frankly red. He had no loss of consciousness and had one meal since the incident.
