ABSTRACT
You are asked to consult on a 1-day-old, Hispanic baby boy in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The baby was born by spontaneous vaginal delivery at 38 weeks of gestation to a healthy 24-year-old, G1P1, Hispanic woman. A fetal ultrasound at 18 weeks of gestation was normal, and no further ultrasounds were performed. The pregnancy was uncomplicated.
