ABSTRACT
There are many kinds of loyalty including loyalty to bosses, customers, suppliers, companies, fellow employees, country, and self.
Some codes of ethics are specific about the responsibilities that engineers owe to a number of entities and to themselves. There are the responsibilities to the public and to keep abreast of the technology. These are intertwined since engi neers cannot do a good job unless they keep abreast of the progress in the field.
