ABSTRACT

Ethics is becoming a subject that is receiving more attention. It appears in the newspapers and on the television and radio. Bill Moyers interviewed Michael Josephson of the Josephson Institute for Ethics on a program shown on the Public Broadcasting System channels in September, 1988 [41]. Josephson had been a practicing lawyer who was assigned the task of teaching ethics to lawyers after the Watergate scandal. He subsequently started his own school devoted to ethics. He began his comments by reviewing a recent issue of the New York Times. There were five stories concerning ethics on the first page.
