There is a growing proliferation of sensitive, highly complex electronic and telecommunications equipment being used in our research labs today. During World War II the military and the Federal Communications Commission began to realize the importance of shielding radio frequency interference Since the general now routinely uses electronic equipment containing thousands low voltage integrated circuits which are susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI).
