ABSTRACT
The model applies to the instantaneous injection or withdrawal of a volume of water from the well casing. If water is injected into the well casing, Vis positive, the initial head is above the equilibrium level, and Hw is referred to as buildup. If water is withdrawn from the well casing, V is negative, the initial head is below the equilibrium level, and Rw is referred to as drawdown.
