ABSTRACT
A pumping test will be conducted in a confined aquifer in a coastal valley. The aquifer and overlying strata extend under a nearby bay. For several days prior to the test, tidal levels and depth to water in a test well are recorded, with the results plotted in Figure 3.4. From the slope of a straight line fitted through the points, the computed tidal efficiency is 03 or 30%.
