ABSTRACT
Frank J. Criado and Robert J. Falconer Endoluminal grafting for treatment of aortic aneurysms is the most exciting
topic in vascular surgery today. Two stent-graft devices-Ancure (Guidant) and AneuRx (Medtronic AVE)— have just been approved by the FDA this year. It is anticipated that as many as 50% (or more) o f aneurysms in the infrarenal abdomi nal and descending thoracic aorta will be repaired endovascularly in the near future.
